Spectral Chasings

SPECTRAL CHASINGS is an abstract, large-scale (yet intimate) sound and light performance held in the darkness of Brønshøj water tower. The audience is invited to quieten down and become encircled by copepods — zooplankton almost invisible to the naked eye when singled out, yet inhabiting the oceans in numbers too vast to count. Devised in close collaboration with the Scottish Association of Marine Science, the work pays tribute to the ghost-like existence of zooplankton through electro-acoustic composition and flickering light.

Noga Projects developed a site-specific lighting concept, informed by the darkness of the water tower, the extremes of the deep seas and the curious behaviour of the light sensitive beings that inhabits them.
