From time to time / Fra tid til anden

FROM TIME TO TIME is a temporal landmark for Kunstpassagen in Varde. The artwork's glass panels catch daylight and break it into colours that shift with the angle of light, the time of day, and where you see it from. As the sun moves across the passage through the day and the seasons, the artwork changes with it, never looking quite the same twice.

The work draws on an old idea: that we have always read time in light, from sundials to lunar calendars. Unlike a clock, it does not measure time precisely but reflects it, softly, as it passes. In a daily life full of things competing for your attention, ‘From time to time’ offers a reason to look up, pause, and notice where you are.
